Platform Purpose
The GNV Catering Platform ("Service") is a network-based operational trust, nutrition intelligence, allergen tracking, traceability, and verification infrastructure. The Service operates as shared infrastructure across multiple organisations, suppliers, and supply-chain participants.
The integrity and value of the platform depend on GNV's ability to observe, normalise, verify, enrich, connect, and maintain canonical reference information across products, ingredients, suppliers, certifications, and supply-chain participants. This network-based architecture enables verification continuity, operational intelligence, and trust across the ecosystem.
Definitions
The following terms apply throughout these Platform Terms and the Data Rights Schedule:
Customer Operational Data — data identifying your internal operations, including site-level menus, pricing, volumes, order history, procurement strategy, and customer-specific commercial terms.
Reference Data — factual, descriptive, technical, regulatory, certification, product, ingredient, batch, origin, and supply-chain participant information observed, received, verified, or normalised by GNV in connection with the Service.
Verification Data — evidence, attestations, certificates, timestamps, scan events, chain-of-custody events, audit events, and other data used to validate or score claims within the platform.
Derived Data — outputs, scores, models, metadata, signals, classifications, risk indicators, benchmarks, inferences, and analytical outputs created by GNV through processing or analysing data.
Aggregated Data — data aggregated or anonymised such that your organisation and identifiable individuals are not reasonably identifiable.
Network Intelligence — cross-customer, cross-supplier, cross-product intelligence developed through platform operation, including canonical product records, supplier identity resolution, ingredient mappings, traceability graphs, verification methodologies, and operational scoring systems.
Acceptable Use
By using this platform, you agree to:
— Use the platform only for its intended food management, nutrition, traceability, and verification purposes
— Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with unauthorised parties
— Report any security issues or vulnerabilities to the security team
— Not attempt to access data belonging to other organisations
— Not interfere with GNV's independent engagement with upstream supply-chain participants
— Not reverse-engineer, extract, or attempt to reconstruct Network Intelligence or Derived Data
Data Stewardship and Platform Operation
To operate, maintain, and develop the Service as shared verification infrastructure, you grant GNV a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, store, normalise, verify, enrich, combine, analyse, and use data you provide as necessary to deliver, secure, support, improve, and develop the Service.
You further acknowledge that the operation of a network-based verification and intelligence platform requires GNV to retain ongoing stewardship of Reference Data, Verification Data, Derived Data, Aggregated Data, and Network Intelligence. GNV retains a perpetual, irrevocable licence to maintain, use, normalise, verify, enrich, combine, and develop these data categories for the purposes of operating, improving, securing, validating, and extending the platform and its trust network. This licence survives expiry or termination of your use of the Service.
This stewardship is necessary to preserve verification continuity, maintain canonical reference integrity, enable cross-network intelligence, and support the operational trust functions that all platform participants depend upon.

Customer Protections
GNV shall not externally disclose Customer-identifiable Operational Data except where:
— You have authorised the disclosure
— Disclosure is necessary to provide the Service
— Disclosure is required by law, regulation, or compliance process
— The data has been aggregated or anonymised such that your organisation is not reasonably identifiable
— The data relates to an upstream participant with whom GNV has an independent relationship
— Disclosure is necessary to investigate or respond to food safety, fraud, allergen, or public-health risk
Nothing in these terms restricts GNV from using or disclosing Reference Data, Verification Data, Derived Data, Aggregated Data, or Network Intelligence in a manner that does not disclose Customer-identifiable Operational Data.
Network Participation
You acknowledge that GNV operates a multi-customer, multi-supplier, network-based platform. GNV may independently identify, contact, and engage any upstream supply-chain participant whose products, certifications, or activities are referenced in the Service. GNV's relationship with any upstream participant is independent of your agreement and may include direct data-sharing, verification workflows, and other operational arrangements.
This network architecture enables verification continuity, canonical reference integrity, and operational trust across the ecosystem. Your participation in the network contributes to and benefits from this shared infrastructure.
Service Availability
We aim for high availability and operational continuity. During the current platform phase, availability is provided on a best-effort basis. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are working toward formal availability commitments as the platform matures.
No Exclusivity
Nothing in these terms grants exclusivity, preferred access, non-compete rights, or any right to restrict GNV from providing identical or similar services to any other person, including your competitors, suppliers, or commercial counterparties.
Personal Data
Where any data processed under these terms includes personal data, the parties shall process such data in accordance with applicable data protection law and the Privacy Notice. Data that has been anonymised or aggregated such that individuals are not reasonably identifiable may be used by GNV in accordance with these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated as the platform develops. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
